A Solo Exhibition by Justin Como
My art explores boundaries of the body, spaces we inhabit, and divisions between them as we experience the two. ”Where does one body end and another begin?” is the operative question within my practice. This series of work illustrates notions of my sensory experiences with materials and recordings of a body in motion. My means of production range from intimately sculpted porcelain to plaster casts of elbow impressions to hands-off making with CNC routed mirror. In each case, I am seeking to bring about a relationship of physicality between artwork and viewers that spurs reflection upon their own bodily presence.
